An event management can enhance and link other elements of a promotional mix- Advertising, Public relations, Sales promotions and Direct Marketing- to create a singular, high visibility experience for the consumers.
The process of planning and coordinating the event is usually referred to as event management planning and can include basic requirements for organizing the event like budgeting, scheduling, site selection, acquiring necessary permit & licensees , coordinating transportation and parking, arranging for speakers or entertainers, arranging decor, event security, catering and risk management.

Event management is considered one of the strategic marketing and communication tools by companies of all sizes. Event Management involves studying the brand, identifying the target audience, devising the event concept, and planning the logistics, coordinating the technical aspects before actually launching or promotion of the events. Event Managers might target their audience by using the news media, hoping to generate media coverage which will reach thousands or millions of people. They can also invite their audience to their events and reach them at the actual event.
